Erika de Casier’s Lifetime

This came out in May, but I’ve been listening to it pretty much nonstop — especially Miss, which is unquestionably my favorite song on the album. I really can’t stop listening to this song.

My other favorite tracks are

But I have to say that I love Miss maybe 2 or 3x more than any of the other songs I like.

AMORE’s album Top Hits, Ballads, etc.

I learned about this album because Javiera Mena is featured on one of the tracks. I was surprised by how much I liked the whole thing. It’s just nice to listen to. I didn’t know who she is, however, until I looked into it just now to write this & found a Pitchfork review. There’s something about it that sounds nostalgic to me.

Operelly’s Handwriting Practice No. 1

I LOVE this mini. I first heard it on Flo’s Breakfast Show and I’ve listened to it a lot. This is decidedly nostalgic — it reminds me of things I listened to around 2009/10, like Ohbijou, whose name came to my mind easily when I first made the connection, even though I had pretty much forgotten about them. It makes me think of listening to things in my dorm & the pictures I put on my wall. Baby me.
